On Friday 28th September, a deadly earthquake hit the city of Palu in Indonesia, triggering a massive tsunami and claiming almost 1200 lives. World Appeal is preparing its response to reach those in most need, and will be providing life-saving aid to those who have lost everything.

Your donation means we can reach them fast with emergency assistance - water, food and protection – to help them survive.

Reports reveal that thousands were left injured and trapped as the earthquake caused countless buildings to collapse and left entire communities in ruins. Thousands of homes, schools, hospitals and hotels have collapsed, and after-shocks continue to rock the city and pose further threats. Communication lines are also down, making providing aid to those most in need, even more difficult.

Hospitals are struggling to deal with a huge influx of patients, many of whom are suffering major injuries. The strain on health services raise concerns that there may not be enough medical support for all those who need it.
